I recorded 32 hours of
frost: annoyingly the temperature climbs just above freezing in the
quarter of an hour just before 9 am. Am I the only person to get annoyed
by such things?

No - that annoys me, as does days when it is around 3 C all day with a 30
minute sunny spell where the temp peaks during the spell at say 7.6 C and
then falls back to 3 C and I have to record a max of 7.6 C and there is
nothing on record to say that really the day temp was 3 C.
