I saw the BBC national forecast after the news (13:30 ish), and they seemed
absolutely clueless as usual.
Temperatures of 5 degrees were forecast for today in the SE .
All the forecasts seem to be going with snow for the SE this afternoon and
tonight. *Where* is this coming from? The snow this morning, and now to a
lesser extent, was obviously a feature of the low pressure which is moving
steadily but surely south. Are there meant to be showers developing? It
seems an extremely brave forecast to me, or just a cover up one.
I get the feeling the TV companies are making a mockery of the METO or the
other way round?
Lost, as usual!

Just heard from a lecturer who has tried to get home but given up after
spending an hour trying to drive off campus. If there's no let-up in the
snow (about 2 or 3 inches here so far), then it could become very tough
for people to actually get home.
