Another FANTASTIC day here in Haytor. Warm January sunshine, 40 miles
visibility, light wind and frost persisting in the shade. Max temp 6.0 deg C and
temp. falling away again now. The only thing missing is a snow cover :-)
Spent the morning cleaning my UPVC Stevenson screen (new Met Office standard
with black slats inside) and sawing logs (ready for the cold spell end Jan/begin
Feb).
Yes it *could* be Spring but up here the weather can change in the blink of an
eye to gales, rain and fog which is definitely not Spring-like.
I'm going to enjoy the moment, accept what I'm given and go out for a long walk
in the countryside.
Will.

Well I recorded our 1st air frost of the month this morning at Chester which is totally different from the previous 2 years.

Maybe all our frosts will come in the latter part of the month.
