What is 'spin drift'?
Somebody else mentioned it on another thread and I haven't
come across the term before.

Hi, Col,
Blowing and drifting snow. When the snow is dry enough, it blows
around
like sand. When it hits your face, it feels like sand as well!
It is the very fine snow grain particles that seem to blow
endlessly,
often from the crest of a drift.
It is also used at sea as the spray blown from the crest of a wave.
Ah right, thanks.
I'm getting the picture of an arctic ice field with waves of snow
endlessly blowing across, is this right?

Hi, Col,
Near enough. In fact that's a good description of where Dave Liquorice
lives!
Best wishes,
