I'm not so sure... aren't we expecting a sharp frost tonight in the SE
which would allow any snow on the leading edge of the front to settle:

Also, the 1000-500hPa thickness lines may be misleading in this
situation as the warm air aloft increases the mean temperature of the
layer which is unrepresentative of the cold air near the surface... so
you could get snow with higher thickness values than in other situations.
