Largest flakes I can remember seeing.
"Holly, in France" wrote
I saw the heaviest snow and the biggest flakes I have ever seen in my
life yesterday, although not as big as yours. Snow settled and the
ground was covered in about 5 minutes, even on the roads. This was in
North Dordogne/Charente border region of France, where it has been
unusually cold for the last couple of weeks. It is often cold at nights
here but warms up when the sun comes out during the day. This year has
been cold day and night, often overcast, temperatures remaining below
freezing all day. Forecast suggests it should warm up towards the middle
of this week - I hope so!
