RMK: Garden frozen hard but very little hoar frost. Hard
surfaces dry. Contrails appear to be contributing
a lot to the cirrus cover.

RMK: Sky covered in a lattice of old, persistent contrails.
There was a very bright sun dog to the right of the sun
from about 0745z to about 0815z. There was none visible
to the left of the sun

Min (0900-0900): -1.8 at 0635z
Grass min (1800-0900): -4.6
Rain (0900-0900): Nil

RMK: Ac slowly invading the sky. Cs slowly thickening

RMK: Most of the middle and low cloud has disappeared during the
past hour and the sun is now shining quite brightly through
the Cs

RMK: It turned out to be a fine sunny afternoon. Max 10.3 at 1600z.
Last time we reached 10.0 was 12th Feb. First daffodil
opened
in the garden this afternoon. Snowdrops still in full
bloom.
