Chalfont St Giles - Monday 21st March 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------
0615z NE F2 3000 HZ 3Ac150 8Ci250 07.1/05.7
RMK: Haze appears to have a considerable vertical extent.
There's a substantial contrail content in the cirrus.
0900z NE F2 3000 HZ 8Ci250 09.7/06.4 1010
RMK: There's probably several layers of cirriform cloud and
contrails but the haze makes it difficult to see the
detail.
Although the sun is clearly visible I wouldn't describe it
as sunny. Shadows are very diffuse. The sky has a very
'Middle Eastern' look to it.
24-HR STATISTICS: Max (0900-0900): 12.7 at 1430z
Min (0900-0900): 4.9 at 0255z
Grass min (1800-0900): 1.9
Rain (0900-0900): Nil
1200z ENE F2 5000 HZ 8Cs200 14.0/07.3 1009
RMK: It's difficult to tell what's cloud and what's haze. It looks
like
a sky full of thin altostratus but I think it's higher than
that.
The cloud has certainly thickened up and there are now
no shadows.
