A NNW'ly is more promising for us in Devon

Although it looks like anything we get will most likely be sleet unless like
Will you live on Dartmoor
I am not giving up hope until after this disturbance runs across us on
Wednesday however. Although I am not sure if I will be able to take the kids
sledging on Dartmoor next weekend as I thought I might be able to do a
couple of days ago.
May be mild and wet here by then

It's all rather depressing really, again we've all been marched up the
hill, and over a period of weeks, find that the grass isn't green the
other side. No ones fault, I'm not saying that, we never had access to
the medium range models years ago, but sometimes I wonder whether they
make us think we can play god :-(
Here I am Monday night of the week of the big freeze and the
temperature is currently +2.7°c, the wind has veered from a NEasterly
to a NNW through the day, there's only one saying that comes to mind
here "They think it's all over, it is now"
I only wish I had my Davis Weather Monitor II and PC links back in
January 1987, to have been able to graphically see such a spectacle of
nature in it's full swing, if only, if only.
I've got a blocked up nose, so I'm having a Whisky and an early night,
maybe, just maybe, it will be a differnt story in the morning... ZZzzz

Summary:
Tonight models continue to show a return to milder conditions over the
weekend with most areas then rather mild, unsettled and windy next
week.
Thanks Paul.
Our only hope is that next week is an age away in meteorological terms.
