Rain moves NE over Britain on Wednesday night and continues to affect
northern England and southern Scotland on Thursday. A second rain area
crosses SE England from the SW on Thursday morning and merges with the
first during Thursday afternoon. Widespread showers over Scotland in the
afternoon with some developing in England and Wales later. Circular
movement of rain and showers around the low pressure clearly visible in the
radar picture.

Ballycastle 11 mm, Newcastle and Copley 11.2 mm, Valley 11.8 mm,
Yeovilton 12.2 mm, Leeming 12.7 mm, Albemarle 12.8 mm, Walney Island 13.8
