Doesn't look as if we got much more from midnight on. So a couple of
cm lying, tiddly little 6" drift (remember the other week it was 6'
drifts...) against the front door.
The temp held at freezing until 0330 when it started to rise, this
triggered a snow melt surge into the raing guage at 0430 that lasted 2
1/2 hours and added 20mm more precipitation to yesterdays 45mm. Total
since midday 14th is 18 + 45 + 20 = 83mm (3 1/4").
Temp has fallen from a max of 2.6C at 0630 to just under 1C
corresponding to a drop in wind speed and change of direction from NE
to ESE'ly. A gentle thaw continues as we drift in and out of hill fog.
