Thunderstorm passed over here between 3 and 4am (BST). Never seen
anything like it : there was almost continuous cloud-cloud lightning,
flashes every 2-5 seconds for that entire period. Thunder was
surprisingly muted, but was a continuous rumble rather than discrete
crashes. Heavy rain for the mid period (3:25 - 3:40) only.
