Couple of thunderstorms here as well but not enough to spoil my first
cricket match although 8C and windy not particularly comfortable!
Looks like James takes a mean penalty though! Face facts - someone's got

to
replace Shearer eventually. ;-)
Feel proud for you Ken.

Dave, S.Essex.

Hi, Dave,

He was so disappointed when Shearer didn't play (all his shirts have Shearer
on!), but Boumsong really made up for it - he was wonderful with him. Shay
Given let that shot in, btw(!)

Cricket, now that's the sport (come on the Tykes). Our Royal Met Soc talk
this Friday at Durham is about how sport suffers in the British climate by
Dr Joyce Kay, University of Stirling. I'm sure cricket will get a mention!
It should be a good evening if any ng readers are interested.

Best wishes,
