Re the distinction between Salisbury and the south coast, I noticed
that on May 2nd. I went inland to just west of Salisbury (Dinton) and
there I estimated about 21c while in Southampton I'd have guessed about
18c. That said, there was a sudden drop in temperature about 4pm even
there - though it wasn't associated with any obvious front.
