Default Miserable May 2005 so far

I don't see what's miserable about that? Sunshine well above average for the
time of month, rainfall well below and temperatures a bit below the mean
depite the sunshine - all points to a clear, crisp month so far on the face
of it.

Had it been very much below average temperature wise, with above average
rainfall and below average sunshine then perhaps "miserable" would have been
a better word.

I'm still intrigued as to when we'll next see a below average month
(temperature wise) though. In theory over the course of the year half of
them should be yet there's been a distinct lack of them in recent years!

I'd imagine the warm nights over the next few days plus the heatwave next
week will be enough to tip this month above average as well, but purely for
interest's sake I'd be delighted if that wasn't the case.
