Where are you incidentally? I actually remember last October in the
south as being a moderately OK month. It was wet, but it was more like
a spring month: a lot of the rain was in showers, and winds were often
from between west and north meaning clear, sharp skies without the
mugginess often typical of an autumn month.

Seems since we got spring weather last October, we're getting autumn
weather - but without the leaves - now :-(
