How on earth can anyone take a decision on our behalf that the wind is not
important ?
Mr BBC *WIND IS IMPORTANT* believe me.
They have wind on ITV, I'm told they have wind on SKY so what makes the BBC
special ?

There have pressure maps on ITV too.
Isobars, wind arrows (speed *and* direction) and those weather
front thingies as well.

Has it really come to pass that the ITV forecast is now better than the BBC?

Over the past 2 years I have gradually watched less and less TV weather
forecasts (no need to because of the Internet). I must have watched the BBC
National more times in the past week than in the past 6 months ! I do make a
point of watching David Braine though if I can. The point is that I often get
asked "where can I go to get a decent weather forecast" . I used to say that you
could do nothing better than watch BBC1 - I think from now on I'll point them to
the InterNet and if they are in the SW - David Braine.
If they don't have InterNet then radio would be the next best choice. Sorry BBC
you've muffed it big time with this rushed project.

Will.
