Default New NOAA satellite launched

Noaa18 was launched successfully on 20th May, and is currently in an
ascending PM orbit at an altitude of 870 km.
It is already sending data, with spectral channels 1, 2 and 3 operating,
channels 4 and 5 in the infrared to be switched on later when outgassing is
completed.
Here is the first image I have processed from noaa18, and is a false colour
composite of channels 1 and 2.
So far, it all looks very promising.
