The combination of a post about the drought here, a forecast for a dry day
and a Bank Holiday Monday has produced the most significant rainfall here in
weeks. I'd almost forgotten that wonderful smell of fresh rainfall,
enlivening the garden more than any hosepipe can. I just hope it clears
later so as not to spoil people's outdoor activities.
