Those conditions in the N Aegean suggest that Izmir had a bit of a

Our neighbours found themselves in very hard conditions, too. Istanbul
paralysed after some very heavy snowfalls, while many areas received simply
too much snow.
It is snowing again throughout the northwest of Greece. It has become a bit
brighter in Athens after noon's thunderstorms, but, as soon as the low that
affected NW Europe during the last days meets the Aegean, winds should veer
north here, too, and the HNMS are forecasting snow for the greek capital
tomorrow -i only see sleet but here's hope:-)
