Something white has started to build up on the glassware of the cars
after approximately 24hrs of rain.
Temperature started to fall quite rapidly about 1430 with the very
occasional sleety bit hitting the windows an hour later. Definate
sleet by 1600. Wind has started to pick up from nothing at 1200 to F5
by 1700, sounds as if it might be F6 by now (1745). Temp was around 4C
at 1430 now 0.3C. 32mm(*) of rain since midnight, on top of the 6mm
rain and snow melt yesterday. Everywhere is sodden, water is pouring
of fells, look out below there is a lot of water coming your way.
Hi, Dave,
Looks like the River Gaunless will be interesting down at Copley Mill!
Temperature is now 1.5C after falling steadily from16Z, wind NNW F5.
Heavy rain & snow falling, so snow with you I would think. I don't think
it will get much colder now. 24hr total 32.5mm.
ATB,
