snip timetable of events
Lots of drains overflowing, some roads look like they have fords over
them.
Nothing at all like that here in Corwen (40 miles by road Westish on the A5,
not sure of as the crow flies) murky and muggy all day; now more clear but
still overcast and cooler.
Jones will have been travelling up from Tyndale, Glos. - don't know what he
will have been through by the time he gets here.
I've spoken to somebody who was up in Denbighshire Moors area this
afternoon who expressed surprise at being asked "Did you get wet?"
He would be surprised; I've put up a video clip at:
http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/ejones/Weather/murky2.avi
(but don't look for it unless you're on broadband as it's 8Mb+ - I was
trying out "Digital Blue", a simple digi video device with equally simple
editing software, aimed at schools and SEN centres, it shows the 4.00.pm
and 10.00.pm situations).
I've heard that Wolverhampton/Dudley got the storms too, but parts of
South Shropshire missed them.
Jones said that from Ludlow to Shrewsbury the roads were damp, wetter
towards Shrewsbury, but they didn't pass trough any downpour; given the
reports of TS in the Hawarden area I'm wondering where the demarcation
line was.
