Default BBC graphics

I know its been talked to death but am I correct in saying there is nothing
to indicate thunderstorm activity on the new BBC system?

They should go back to the old system right away and upgrade it to include
real time radar, temperature, satellite and lightening display. Much more
useful and authoritative than the Play school stuff we have to put up with
now.

I worry that along with the new graphics, Fahrenheit conversions are back
with nearly all BBC presenters making a special effort to confuse their
target audience of children, with something that hasn't been taught in
schools for more than 35 years. Barmy.

Yes, clinging to Fahrenheit is very odd while at the same time
using centimetres for snow depths (exclusively), and metres for height.
It's a long time since anyone of my age (now 62) asked me what a
Celsius temperature was "in old money", let alone anyone younger. And
I'm not necessarily talking about the well-educated.
I can't say anything about the graphics, having quickly given up
watching it in order to avoid hypertensive stress. But the term Play
School is apt; I wish I'd thought of it. :-)
