Davis Wind direction problem ?

moved, but is always wrong, it seem to shift in time, but not fluctuate
every couple seconds like it normally does. I was just looking at the
instructions from the original assembly. I guess the first thing to try
is that allen key, it maybe loose? If not then it's the potentiometer,
is this easy to get to, if it needs replacing, similarily the cable
joints inside. I'm just afraid of doing more damage than good.
I can only speak for the wind speed reed switch position. I asked John Dann
for information about this and he told me that he would have to send it away
himself as he did not have the specialist tools needed for the job. He gave
me the conatct name and I returned it to them directly.
I assumed when I replied that all of the bolts on your vane were tight and
that some kind of internal fault had developed. It cost me about £30
+postage for the repair which I thought was reasonable give the cost of most
service charges these days.
