Thanks Phil for your comments,
My number of dry days in first half of June was 8; in second half 10 though
several days had just 0.1 or 0.3mm. However I agree that the pressure was
very high at times during the first half including the highest June air
pressure in my area since 1962.
My mean temperature was around +1.9C and the inference of a warmer second
half was more or less correct.

Ian,
The forecast read:
June 05
An unsettled first half- much drier second half. The temperature around a
degree above average with a warm last week. Sunshine about average to + 5
to 10%.
From my persepctive, it felt the other way round with more rainfall in the
'much drier second half' and anticyclonic conditions from the 7th to the
11th.

Frosted Earth June forecast was not to bad at all and continued the good
forecast run this year. For July
yes, a warmer and drier than average month, with a particularly hot
spell
towards the end of the month. Sunshine about average.
If my forecast does prove correct it is not good news for Southeast
water
supplies where places south of the Thames missed out on much of the
recent
rains including my own station with only around 31% of the long term
average.

Any ideas for July.
Hopefully, the month when you trim your 'sig' to the recommended four
