Default Very cold for July

Despite intermittent sunshine and no really thick cloud, it's felt very
cold indeed for July down here (Southampton) today. Mid-summer is
normally fairly temperate here even in changeable spells of weather -
the last cold blast of the spring normally occurring sometime in June
and the first of Autumn normally late August.

Tell me about it - it's been pouring down since 9 this morning;
temperature is currently a tropical 12c in Heavy Rain.

A visit from the puncture fairy on the ride back from the gym this
morning was especially welcome in the pouring rain

East Anglia is definately not currently living up to its reputation as
the driest part of the UK; above average rain in both May and June, and
I would be prepared to bet we are half way there to the July average
after today.

And as I type, thunder rumbles in the distance.
