It reached a scorching 28.7 here around 12:45, then a very gentle sea breeze
set in, and it's now around 27.5. Very strong unbroken sunshine yet again.
Temperatures 28 are very rare here, as we are virtually surrounded by the
sea. I have recorded temperature = 28 degrees on 8 occasions since 1991
(including today). The previous record was 28.5 on 19th August 1995. I think
the hot air has moved generally down the spine of the peninsula.
ENE wind, so ideal conditions for that to happen.
