Yes, I've since had that confirmed, but the max/min data only appears via
the 21Z CDL NCMs,

to have acess, that is.

not in the 18Z CDL SYNOPs.

....which is why the quoted Bolton figure on Monday was 30 and not
31 ...because someone had been monitoring the hourly temperatures
and publicised the highest hourly figure. This happens routinely during
hot spells, at Exeter, at the BBC, and elsewhere, as I'm sure you're
aware.
