Default Record Max and Min for each date in February

That's an interesting table Gavin although I would have expected the
highest maxima to be higher in, for example, the first week of
February. Am I right in assuming that the figures are the official UK
extremes for each day (or are they for something else, such as the
CET)?

Full list is here
http://www.torro.org.uk/severeweathe...htempsyear.htm

Also published in the September issue of /Weather/, and compiled
by Jonathan Webb and Terence Meaden. I don't believe the Met Office
have ever put together a day-by-day list themselves, so in that sense
there is no *official* list of daily extremes, but I know their staff have
been known to quote the Webb/Meaden figures.

Clearly the version in /Weather/ is already out of date for a large handful
of records ... and, apart from August 10, the version on the TORRO
website does not yet contain the several new records established in 2003.

I have also flagged several figures throughout the year as questionable ...
notably many of the earlier ones, and also those recorded at
B******** :-)
