Full list is here
http://www.torro.org.uk/severeweathe...htempsyear.htm
Also published in the September issue of /Weather/, and compiled
by Jonathan Webb and Terence Meaden. I don't believe the Met Office
have ever put together a day-by-day list themselves, so in that sense
there is no *official* list of daily extremes, but I know their staff
have
been known to quote the Webb/Meaden figures.
Clearly the version in /Weather/ is already out of date for a large
handful
of records ... and, apart from August 10, the version on the TORRO
website does not yet contain the several new records established in
2003.
I have also flagged several figures throughout the year as questionable
...
notably many of the earlier ones, and also those recorded at
B******** :-)
Any idea if there is a list of lowest maxima and highest minima publically
available?
Joe, I wish there were. They have never been published in any format,
as far as I am aware (apart from the annual values), and of course we
also run up against the age-old 0900-0900 problem for these figures.
When the subject arises (as it has done today ... see earlier thread) I have
to go through what I call my "Climate Notebook" where I scribble down
notable events and incomplete records.
