You're right! Those places are more central & eastern Med.

Still, it can get pretty stormy anywhere in the Med during the winter. I was
in Cyprus in May once and we had a big storm, the sea was mountainous and
many fishing boats were smashed on the beaches, also it was very cold - and
that was May!

There seems to be some confusion about whether this thread relates to the
western Med or the eastern Med!

Apart from possibly Savona, the Mistral would not affect the weather at
the ports mentioned by the OP.
