Sub 10 degrees is very rare here in July/August/early Sept. The sea is
simply too warm to allow it unless it's completely calm.
Well, the nights are much, much warmer than I have been used to. At the
moment, anything less than 12C seems rare with a typical night minimum
temperature around 15C.
I went swimming in the sea today in south Devon, and it felt warm. Far too
warm for a wetsuit.

It's been 19 nights here, now - though a few have gone close. Haven't
had any really hot nights either, fortunately - nothing above 15C.
