How are sun totals doing for the south?

I'm surprised the average is only 0.3 below average. Here in High Wycombe the
temperature today reached 20C for the first time since Tuesday 23rd August. In
fact in the previous 8 days the temperature only reached 20C on two days...
Sunday 21st, & Tuesday 23rd! In fact for four of those six days, the temperature
didn't even reach 17C! Yesterday afternoon felt sooooo cold!!
This has been one of the coldest spells of weather I have ever recorded in
August! There have been colder individual days in August, but not so many cold
days in just over a week.
