This forecast summary is my *PERSONAL OPINION* of how the weather may

================================================== ===============
Summary valid for Sunday 04/09/05 to Saturday 10/09/05
TOI (time of issue) Thursday 01/09/05 0900 UK local time
This summary is based on a quick appraisal of the GFS, JMA, ECMWF, UKMO,
FAX,
and ENS (NCEP ensemble) labelled charts available from the superb
http://www.wetterzentrale.de/topkarten
A very tricky week to predict in detail and confidence is only moderate at
best
for the more general aspects. Still a lot of dry weather likely in many
areas
though.
On Sunday, Eastern and SE England look like having a hot day with sunshine
and a
moderate east to southeast wind. However, heavy rain and thunderstorms
look like
moving into western and northern areas with these edging east during the
day.
On Monday, storms should clear away overnight and all parts will then
become
under the influence of a slack area of low pressure giving sunny spells,
light
winds and scattered showers, a few heavy and thundery. Still warm and much
less
hot in the southeast.
The weather from Tuesday to Wednesday can best be described as sunny
spells and
showers with light winds and quite warm. Fog could become slow to clear
during
the mornings in prone spots and sea breezes may ensure coastal areas
remain
sunny. Generally more cloud over Scotland and Northern Ireland.
During the rest of the week the trend is for it to become cooler with
freshening
northwest winds bringing sunny intervals and showers or longer periods of
rain
to all areas. Amounts of rain in the south are uncertain but likely to be
small.
SW England likely to see the driest weather at the end of the week.
Will (Chief forecaster USW).
