Default Very wet in central Greece

Good morning, everyone.

The last couple of days have brought some wet weather over northern
Greece and, then, central reagions of the country. After the heavy
rainfalls that caused some localised damages in Nafplio, in the
Peloponnese, very heavy thunderstorms went on throughout the night in
the island of Evia, just north of Athens, leaving Chalkida, the
capital, with 109.4 mm between 11pm and 7am and lots of damages -also
on high trees, because of the c-g lighting.

Athenians woke up right after 3am, when the Evia thunderstorms came in
from the north and the sound from sudden c-g lightning was enough to
wake the dead. Quite hefty thundery rain at times, especially in the
northern suburbs: 76 mm from 3 am to 10 am in the northeastern suburbs,
not as wet further south).
