Despite the sunshine, the temperature has struggled and only reached a
maximum of 18.0C today at 13:30, making it the coldest day since the 26th of
August. The temperature is already on the down (at 15:15), paving the way
for a chilly night to come.

18C? Positively tropical but you must be pretty sheltered down there
with this wind direction. Just 13.7C here today, not terribly cold of
course for the time of year but given it's been pretty sunny, certainly
an autumnal feel to things.
And the min of 3.7C this morning hardly helped things!
