It depends on radiation loss, humidity and wind etc as you probably know.

That's interesting, it's always been something that has puzzled me! I see
that dewpoints have been on the low side today and yesterday evening. My
location is suburban Newbury, Berkshire so not a million miles from
yourself. Another cold one on the cards tonight, it would seem
