Default [WR] Late "summer" warmth in Canterbury

Don't know about Kent, Jonathan, but here in Wokingham the October record
stands at 28.6 in 1921, with 25.3 in 1997 the warmest in recent years.

Positively glorious day here - you'd never guess that it was October at
all! The temperature is currently (11:55am) 21.6C and still rising
slowly - the sun is shining from a cloudless sky and there's a light
breeze.

Now 22.8C at 13:35 - some 4.1C warmer than the warmest day in October
last year.

I doubt we're anywhere near a record, but does anyone know what the
highest October temperature has been in this part of the world (Kent)?
