What are 'slaters' - are they these little armour plated insects (?)
crustaceans (??) that you get under rotting logs and such like??
Googling for slaters gets me nowhere apart from lots of "roofers" (:
On things with lots of legs has anybody else noticed the great daddy -

Only the flying variety Les but I think their called the Crane fly. Funnily
enough when I was a kid in the early sixties I remember them being
everywhere.
Steady....... here we go.... is this a sign of a winter like 62/63 No...it's
just that I lived near the docks. Crane fly get it...oh well suit yourselves
