It's interesting Dave, in terms of the real "danger" metric - the
windspeeds, Wilma is not a record. I was looking at the HURDAT database
this afternoon and noted the strongest sustained winds (mph) reported.
Although I'm not sure of the accuracy of these estimates given that the
reconnaissance planes are a relatively new method of getting the winds
from these systems. So as it stands, Wilma nudges into joint 5th.
