1995/96?

Nothing special in the south. Three days of good snow in early
February, and some cold snowless weather at times during December and
January, but not that special. The last snow which persisted for a week
was 1991, and the last spell of persistent deep snow was January 1987.

Think about what this means. There are people who are 18 years old who
have never experienced proper snow in their lifetime!
