BBC NEWS | UK | Prince's plea over climate change

Its amazing how all these celebrities and monied people (including the
royals) are able to preach to the relative poor about what should be done to
conserve this, or protect that.
They have the means to make token gestures and pronouncements, but, behind
this front, continue in their own sweet way with their own extravagant
lifestyles.
I would love to incorporate eco friendly sewage disposal, and solar heating,
etc. etc., but in my bog standard urban dwelling and with my meagre income,
it aint going to happen.
I don't need someone like pretend farmer Charles, with his immaculate
macintosh and walking stick telling me what I should be doing, whilst
spending what was probably originally my money on his
look-what-a-good-boy-am-I schemes.
What amazes me is how this was treated as 'news' by the BBC. It was
the second story on the 6 O'clock programme. I guess they just wanted to
blow their own trumpet as they had managed to secure the first interview
with Charles in 10 years. Sure it's of interest to some people but then
make a proper programme about it. 'News' it was most definately not.
One non-expert pontificates about his views on a particular subject and
suddenly it's second billing on the six O'clock news. What's all that about then?
