Default Still green leaves and it's October 29th

Well it's only three days to November and still many of the trees down
here in the south, particularly the milder coastal areas like the New
Forest, are at the green-with-only-a-hint-of-brown stage. Could we
enter November with some woods still predominantly green?

Looks like the peak autumn colours down here will be the first two
weeks of November, rather than the last two of October, maybe we could
see a repeat of 2001 with the leaves still on the trees almost in
December? Let's hope for a lack of gales during the next month...

I'm sure we had Oak trees with green leaves in early Dec last year. I sent
some pics to our TV weatherman.
