Default Good things about the autumn and winter months in southern England

1. In October we occasionally get very warm and sunny days.
2. Spring often comes early in February.
3. Erm....?

Notice the lack of words like "frost", "snow" etc. The winter months
are so drab compared to the 80s when September frosts were common.
Looking at the GFS we'll still be waiting in mid-November....
