Proper rain now started here at 1.0 mm/h rate.
Rainfall so far today 3.6 mm

The radar seems to be fixed, but it looks like nothing more than some
scattered patchy light rain or drizzle.

I don't think it has been fixed, that rain is far too patchy for such an
organised frontal band with embedded convection (last visible satellite
image
before darkness) over the sea to the west. It also does not fit in with my
"ground truth" obs. I wouldn't trust the radar ATM.

The radar has certainly tied in with what's been happening in Cornwall (west
of Truro)

Also, I know there's been very little rain on Scilly today.

Still 1mm here in Penzance. Certainly a bit more on the Moors, but just
slightly damp at sea level.
