I think it is a Met Office experiment. It's called stealth rain and
falls in such a way as to be invisible to radar. :-)

I have had 11mm in the last 4 hours or so and my WS currently shows
5mm per hour. On a visual check, this sounds about right.


The rain has eased off a little here. The last two hours has only seen
5mm and it is currently falling at 1mm per hour.


Two hours on and another 6mm (currently 4mm per hour)
