Default Tomorrow's low

I see the Net-Weather forcast for my area (Isle of Skye) is forecasting
wind speeds of 74.5mph around midnight on Monday/Tuesday. So what sort of
gusts will that bring? No mention of this yet by the Met Office!

Dear All

I see we have a low zipping across N Ire and W Scotland tomorrow with
some
quite strong winds potentially?

Hi Richard.
Yep, this wee low caught my attention 6 days ago. That's when it first
started appearing on GFS forecast models.
The isobars don't look worryingly tight, but when combined with the
overall momentum of the low, it may well pack quite a punch.
If the track remains broadly similar to that which is forecast, perhaps we
could see some 70mph gusts in the central lowlands? Particularly when the
wind swings more westerly than southerly and a funnelling effect may come
into play.
Alex.
