I don't think so - the sun's been out all day with not a cloud in
the sky, so the screen should have been in sunshine from shortly
after the sun rose.

How about a reflection catching the screen at that time. The shape of
the hump looks very similar to ones that the internal plot here gets
when the unit catches the sun.
