Yep I realise they are open to skilled interpretation but blimey
that's
the most impressive set I've ever experienced unfolding as it were.

What do our experts think ?

I'm not an expert!
But yes, they do look nice.

Dont go to bed tonight too excited though, by morning, your runs
will be
mild. :-)

It's very hard not to be excited just seeing them is memorable - maybe
we
should save them?

Calm down Lawrence, at your age it's not good to get too excited :-)

Will.

Will, at my age it's the only excitement I get!

Good morning Lawrence.
Have you looked at the 00z runs this morning?
Are you still excited?

Brendan

Good morning Brendan.
Am I still excited? yes.
Mind you premature speculationdoes come to mind but it's not that sort of NG

I think all of us try to clamp things down on the excitement front after
years of expeiriencing let downs, but sometimes, just sometimes, it's so
tangible you begin to believe it's already happened.

Mind things still look good up until next week, let's face it just having
some frost a couple of weeks ago would have sated us for a while, so I'm
enjoying it while it last.

Of course another aspect for me is that we're not in winter yet, there's a
long way to go and we've already had some excitement and a nice frosty
period to come almost guaranteed. Once they actually happen then at least
they're in the bank and can underwrite future forecast i.e it actually is
possible because it happened.

Now what would it have been like on here and places like TWO if we'd been
internetted in 81, 79, or 63 ? Or would we have taken those conditions a
little bit more for granted. I think with the Global Warming backdrop cold
spells occurring are a bit like David vs Goliath. We all want to see a
winter cold spell give Global warming Goliath a bloody nose!
