Some excellent fog pictures have been posted by a gliding friend Mike
Rubin, taken from his glider flying above the fog at the weekend.

They show the remarkable, but typical, patchy nature of fog.
Lovely pictures
Agreed - cracking photos:-)
- we were driving through much of that (well, in and out
of it) on Saturday. Coming down from the Cotswolds the Thames Valley
fog was very evident, with the Didcot plume above - what was also sadly
evident was a significant layer of dirty yellow pollution lying above
the fog - we thought it must be Didcot as it was at approximately that
level, but absolutely spread out and flattened by the high pressure.
What else might it have been?
Vehicles.
Cheers,
